Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 November 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how RunGen.ai handles information when you use our website and services. We try to collect as little as possible, process only what we need, and avoid turning your activity into a product.

1. Who we are and scope of this Policy

RunGen.ai is operated by RunGenAi GmbH, a company incorporated under the laws of Switzerland, with its registered seat in Baar, Canton of Zug, Switzerland ("RunGen.ai", "we", "our", or "us").

This Privacy Policy describes how we process information when you:

  • Visit our website or web application.
  • Connect a wallet and use the RunGen.ai service.
  • Contact us by email or through our community channels.

Our service is intended only for individuals who are 18 years or older and who are residents of the United States. If you are located in any other jurisdiction, you must not use the service.

2. What we collect – and what we try not to collect

We design RunGen.ai to operate with minimal data. In particular:

  • We do not require an email address to use the service.
  • We do not build personal profiles or behavioral advertising segments.
  • We do not store your prompts or generations beyond a short, technical window needed to execute them.

At the same time, some data is inevitably processed when any online service runs. We explain that in the sections below.

3. Prompts, generations and models

When you use RunGen.ai to generate or transform content, we process the information you send so that we can return a result. This may include:

  • Text prompts and chat messages.
  • Images and videos you upload.
  • Masks and configuration settings for local edits.
  • Model choices (open-source models you select or models you upload yourself).

We treat this information as highly sensitive. Our approach is:

  • We keep prompts and generations only ephemerally for processing purposes.
  • They are deleted within approximately 24 hours after generation. After that time, neither you nor we can access them because they are permanently removed.
  • We do not use your prompts or outputs to train models.
  • We do not build marketing profiles from your generations.

4. Wallets, payments and basic identifiers

RunGen.ai is Web3-native. You access the service and pay for generations using a compatible wallet. In this context, we may process:

  • Your public wallet address, which functions as your identifier within the service.
  • Information related to credits and consumption of credits (e.g. current balance, deductions when a generation is run).

Payments in ETH on the Base network are recorded on the blockchain, which is public by design. We do not control the blockchain and cannot remove information that is written to it. We do not store credit card details or similar payment data because we do not use those methods.

5. Technical data and security measures

When you access RunGen.ai, some technical data is processed automatically to keep the service secure and functioning, including:

  • IP address and approximate region.
  • Device and browser information.
  • Date and time of requests.

We use this information primarily for rate limiting, abuse detection, and service protection (for example, to mitigate attacks and prevent automated misuse). We do not store or use this data for advertising or behavioral marketing.

6. Contact, support and community channels

If you contact us (for example at help@rungen.ai) or interact with us on Discord or Telegram, we may process:

  • Your email address or handle, and the contents of your message.
  • Any additional information you choose to provide (for example, logs, screenshots, or technical details).

We use this information to respond to your request, to provide support, and to improve the stability and clarity of the service. Communication data may be retained for a reasonable period where needed to document how we handled a request or to comply with legal obligations.

7. Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand general usage patterns (for example, which pages are visited and how often) and Google Search Console to understand how our site appears in search results.

Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect aggregated, pseudonymous information about website usage. This may include your IP address (in truncated form where applicable), browser type, and basic usage metrics. We use this information only to understand and improve the overall performance and usability of RunGen.ai, not to build individual marketing profiles.

You can usually control or block cookies through your browser settings. If you choose to block analytics cookies, some metrics may be less accurate, but the core service should continue to work.

8. Legal bases for processing

Where applicable (for example under Swiss or EU-inspired data protection principles), we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract – to provide the RunGen.ai service you request, process your generations, manage credits, and respond to support requests.
  • Legitimate interests – to secure and protect the service (including rate limiting and security logging), to understand aggregated usage, and to maintain and improve our infrastructure.
  • Consent – where required for specific analytics or optional features that are not strictly necessary for the service to function.

9. Data retention

We try to keep retention periods as short and as clear as possible:

  • Prompts and generations are stored only ephemerally for processing and are deleted within approximately 24 hours after generation.
  • Wallet and credit data are stored for as long as necessary to operate your account-like balance, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
  • Support communications may be kept for a reasonable period to document interactions and improve service, unless you have a specific right under applicable law to ask for deletion.
  • Analytics data is managed according to the settings and policies of Google Analytics.

10. Sharing and international data transfers

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Infrastructure providers who operate GPUs and related systems used to execute your generations. We aim to work with providers compliant with SOC 2 Type II requirements.
  • Service providers who help us run analytics, security, or basic operational tooling (such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console).
  • Professional advisors (for example, legal or accounting) where necessary to run our business.

Because our infrastructure partners and service providers may be located in different countries, your data may be processed outside Switzerland. In such cases, we take steps we consider appropriate to help protect your data in line with this Policy and applicable law.

11. Your rights and choices

Depending on the laws that apply to you, you may have certain rights in relation to your personal data, such as:

  • Accessing the personal data we hold about you.
  • Requesting correction of inaccurate data.
  • Requesting deletion of certain data.
  • Objecting to or restricting certain types of processing.
  • Withdrawing consent where processing is based on your consent.

To exercise any of these rights, you can contact us at help@rungen.ai. We may need to ask you for additional information to verify your request and will respond within a reasonable time, consistent with applicable law.

12. Security

We take security seriously and use technical and organizational measures that we consider appropriate to protect the service and the data we handle, including working with infrastructure providers that are compliant with SOC 2 Type II requirements.

No system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to protect your own environment as well (for example, by securing your wallet, safeguarding private keys, and being careful about the information you choose to upload).

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to inform you, such as updating the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, providing notice inside the product.

Your continued use of RunGen.ai after an updated Policy becomes effective means that you acknowledge the changes.
